Trevor the Yuendumu desert dog

The Australian Museum is proud to represent art, object, jewellery and accessories from the Warlukurlangu Artists. This organisation is one of the longest running and must successful Aboriginal-owned arts collectives in Central Australia. This piece is a depiction of Trevor, a desert dog. Trevor was a little dog with a giant personality and self-importance.

Pedra agate coasters

This classic design brings crystal sophistication to any table setting. The Pedra (Portuguese for 'stone') coasters are built from pure, semi-precious agate. The coasters are individually hand polished in their country of origin, Brazil, and protected by rubber feet on the underside.

Kombu (head comb)

The Australian Museum Shop are pleased to be selling a range of traditional arts from on behalf of the East Kwaio community, who reside on the island of Malaita in the Solomon Islands. These objects were made by master craftsmen and women at the Kwainaa'isi Kwaio Cultural Centre on the island. A finely woven comb made from tree fern, orchid and coconut fibre, the Komu is traditionally worn during ceremonial gatherings.

Mookaite

Mookaite is a multi-coloured stone found in the Kennedy Ranges in Western Australia, directly inland from the town of Carnarvon. It is a type of jasper, and is distinct from other jasper forms thanks to its unique colour palette. The medley of reds, pinks, mustards and creams wonderfully reflect some of Australia's unique tones and landscapes.
